The Optimist Club of Burlington, Ontario, Canada is a voluntary organization of community-oriented people with a passionate desire to make our community a better place for our young ‘kids’. Community service is our objective. We must contribute something to the life of the community we live in. Our membership is open to all and strives to reflect the diversity of Burlington.
The purpose of the Optimist Club of Burlington is to develop Optimism as a philosophy of life; to promote an active interest in civic affairs; to inspire respect for the law; to promote patriotism and work for international accord and friendship among all people; to aid and encourage the development of youth in the belief that the giving of one's self in service to others will advance the well-being of man, his community and world.
The Optimist Club of Burlington chartered on September 30, 1949 has a history of proudly supporting the youth of our community for over 60 years. Our Club meets in the Cumis Room at the Paletta Lakefront Park & Mansion.
